"The Life" is an original TV pilot for a series that hasn’t yet seen the light. The show was to work to end child sex trafficking in the U.S. The goal was to examine, in depth, the causes, experiences and struggles taking place in the world of under-aged sexual exploitation in New York City; from the perspectives of the exploited (teenagers), the exploiters (pimps) and those involved in the heroic fight against under-aged sex trafficking (law enforcement, prosecutors, advocates, private investigators, etc.). Showcasing Q'orianka Kilcher and Jeremiah Bitsui. I shot this tv pilot over 6 long days and nights back in May 2013. Shot on Sony FS700, with Canon EF lenses on a shoestring budget. The end result is a bit underexposed.
